Project Activities

The activities organized within the scope of this project aim to support young people in their recovery journey from addiction not only through theoretical training but also through experiences in production, art, and international cooperation. Through workshops on candle making, bag painting, painting, ceramics, prayer bead making, and calligraphy, participants had the opportunity to acquire new skills and express themselves creatively.

The opening meeting held within the project and the project management meeting organized in Lyon, France, strengthened knowledge and experience sharing among international partners and contributed to the sustainability of the project. All activities carried out aimed to increase young people's social participation, support their psychosocial well-being, and promote a productive lifestyle free from addiction.

The activities carried out within the scope of the project aimed not only to provide information on combating addiction but also to improve participants’ life skills, strengthen their social connections, and support their ability to express themselves in a safe environment. Each activity was designed to contribute to the personal development of young people through an approach based on production, sharing, and collaborative learning, which are important elements of the recovery process.

The Candle Making Workshop, Bag Painting Workshop, Painting Workshop, Ceramic Workshop, Prayer Bead Making Workshop, and Calligraphy Workshop, carried out within the scope of art and handicraft activities, enabled participants to express their creativity, improve their attention and concentration skills, and strengthen their patience and sense of responsibility. The tangible products created at the end of the production process helped increase participants’ self-confidence and contributed to rebuilding their sense of achievement. In addition, group-based activities supported communication, cooperation, and social interaction skills, providing participants with opportunities to establish new relationships based on trust.

The Lyon Visit, organized to strengthen the international dimension of the project, provided an opportunity for project partners to come together, evaluate implementation processes, share examples of good practices, and examine different approaches developed in various countries in the field of addiction prevention and recovery. This cooperation contributed to improving the quality of project outcomes and supported the transfer of international experiences into local practices.

The Project Opening Meeting, held in Ankara, served as an important starting point where project partners, stakeholders, and representatives of relevant institutions came together. During the meeting, the objectives of the project, target groups, planned activities, and expected outcomes were presented, while inter-institutional coordination was strengthened and the foundations of a collaborative working culture were established. Thus, a strong basis for cooperation was created for all activities to be carried out throughout the project.

All activities implemented within the project aimed not only to help young people spend their leisure time meaningfully but also to provide lasting experiences that support productivity, self-confidence, social adaptation, and psychosocial well-being. Through the healing power of art, creativity, social participation, and international cooperation, the project seeks to contribute to young people’s ability to build healthier, more hopeful, and sustainable lives free from addiction.
